Northern Exposure – This Eskimo couple plans to spend Valentines Day with a snowshoe adventure. The fronts are a blue/gray wool blend, cut from a cardigan sweater. Applique’ is new fleece and a very textured blend for the “fur” trims. I dyed a piece of needlepoint canvas with tea for the snowshoes. Palms & cuffs are a soft wool blend. New, dark brown fleece lining. Overall, a labor intensive but fun project.
Amazing! I would love to take a class from you to learn how to make these…any chance that is a possibility?
Sorry for the delay. I had no notification that your message was pending. I am continuously refining and improving on my patterns and assembly methods for my mittens. My Facebook fans and mitten buyers live throughout the U.S. Only a small percentage live in my home state of CT, so I’ve never thought of having get togethers.
Stay warm,
Valerie
Hi Peg:
I am guessing that you saw the WFSB Channel 3 Better Connecticut segment on Friday 12/21 featuring me and my mitten business. It was exciting to met Scot Haney and appear on his show.
Stay Warm,
Valerie
