There is no such thing as “free shipping.” Some retailers offer “free shipping” but we all know that the shipping cost is built into their merchandise pricing. The new DeForest Lake Designs website is more sophisticated than my prior site. It accurately calculates your flat-rate shipping cost based upon the number of mittens that you purchase and the number of mittens that can be packed in the standard U.S. Post Office Priority Mail envelopes and boxes. Note that your shipping cost is the same whether you buy 2 pairs, or 3 – 4 pairs of mittens. Also, the shipping cost cap is $19.00 no matter how many mittens you order beyond 5 pairs.
